Coming out can be a very difficult thing for most people. Now imagine you are a professional athlete and you have all of these eyes on you, you grew up not knowing very many gay people and had a gut feeling at a young age that being gay was wrong. Now imagine meeting someone who turns you life and beliefs upside down.
Scott Blokker was born in upstate New York and raised by his parent in Seattle, WA with his older brother, Kevin. Coming from a very active family Scott ended up becoming a professional soccer player. During his six-year career playing, he played for teams in Seattle, Portland, Cincinnati, Buffalo and Sweden. When he retired from soccer he began working for his parents as an accountant and eventually moved to NYC to pursue a modeling career.

This love story starts off with a man by the name of Shaun T. When Scott meet Shaun he learned to be his authentic self. For the first time in his life he felt accepted for who he was while being around Shaun, and Scott began accepting himself.
The two were married on October 12, 2012 with a theme called “Midnight Love”. The evening was held in New York and was definitely an experience. Shaun T put on an hour long performance with music, dancing, aerialists, and singers all for his groom, Scott. Watch the video below.
