New Workout Trends

20160107-AM-Blog-New WorkOut Trends-400It’s now the middle of January and it’s also the time when people start slowing down or completely forgetting their New Year’s resolutions. One of the more common resolutions if of course working out or getting into shape.

Today we are here to introduce some get fit trends just for men and help you keep your resolution or just help you live a healthier and more active life. Grab the new workout clothes you got for Christmas and get ready to get fit!

The most important thing about working out is finding a routine that suits you and nobody else. If you don’t like doing it even a little bit then you’re not going to stick to it. Remember working out is not just going to the gym. You have that classic workout or something like yoga, MMA or even joining a sports team.

The end goal is probably increased health and a good body but remember there’ s more than just hitting weights at the gym to achieve that.

This year we are seeing a rise in martial arts style classes for working out. This could be due to the popularity that UFC fighters have gained in 2015 including Rhonda Rousey. It’s a great alternative to traditional gym environments and can be great fun.

You’ll also see a lot of classic gym routines bringing old school exercise into play. This meaning jogging, skipping, push ups and lots of classic weights.

Yoga is still going strong and is as popular as ever. It’s nice to stretch out, heal your  body and reset your mind and tends to be popular with people who are less competitive.

You should also have a workout buddy to draw upon for support. Set goals together, add an element of competition and remember have fun.

Dont forget that seeing results from working out takes a LONG time. Don’t be discouraged just keep going  and make sure you track your progress not only with scales but also inches (keep your mind outta the gutter) and with progress photos.

If you’re not going to listen to me then at least listen to Markiss Stone below.

Happy working out guys!

Stay healthy.
