2015 Workout Tips

We’re not exactly personal trainers here in the AllMale office but we know what it means to be healthy, fit and to feel good so we scoured the internet far and wide to find the perfect male workout tips for 2015 to help you get in shape or stay in shape.

Eating Healthy

Not exactly a workout tip but ask any trainer or nutritionalist and they’ll tell you that eating healthy is the first part to any workout routine. You want to be eating a variety of healthy foods covering all the food groups and essential vitamins. Under eating is just as bad as over eating. Find a doctor or somebody who can coach you through eating balanced for your body type in order to see maximum results.

Cardio Vs. Strength

Women are always going for cardio and men are always hitting strength but the secret to a really nice body lies in a balance of both. Make sure you’re getting 30-60 minutes of cardio in. Doing this will burn up your fat so that your strength training is able to tone you and build some muscle up. Don’t be fooled cardio can be achieved from activities other than running- try elliptical, jumping jacks or skipping rope.

Count your reps backwards

Instead of going 1 to 10 try going from 10 to 1 the lower number will ease your mind as you countdown making it less likely that you’ll give up.

Bend those wrists

That’s right when doing arm curls slightly bend your wrists to build bicep muscles. Don’t believe me? Try it right now. You can already tell which muscles are affected without even holding a weight just bend your wrist and see where those muscle groups are affected.

Keep that flex

I shouldn’t have to tell you that one of the main workout tips is to stretch first but do you know how long to stretch for? Men’s Health believes it depends on your age so if you’re under 40 hold your stretches for 30 seconds and as soon as that 40th birthday hits switch your stretch time to 60 seconds.

Run up that hill

Not only will this tip help your workout but it will also help if you’re ever being chased or need to get away. When running up hills make sure that you focus your eyes on the top of the hill this will open your airways and make it easier to breathe rather than focusing straight ahead.

Squat Better

Make sure that you’re keeping your heels on the floor when you squat. If they lift then you’re actually tightening your hip flexors too much which can impair the effect of this work out on your body.

Be Consistent

We know it’s great to go out your first day and work out to your maximum ability but it’s not great to not be able to workout for the next five days because you’re incredibly sore. Make sure that you’re pushing yourself but not going over. Start easy and work your way up. Just like the tortoise from the tortoise and the hare make sure that if you have to be slow that you’re being steady and working your way there.

So get out there and be a healthier version of yourself follow these tips to make your workouts easier and to achieve maximum results.
